PL/SQL Developer

We are looking for a passionate PL/SQL Developer to develop high-performance solutions and optimize Oracle databases. The selected person will participate in the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of critical applications while collaborating with business teams, functional analysts, and developers to deliver robust and scalable solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance PL/SQL programs.
• Develop stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and Oracle views.
• Participate in business needs analysis and propose suitable technical solutions.
• Optimize SQL queries and improve database performance.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and bug fixing.
• Participate in application migration and deployment activities.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with development, quality assurance, and operations teams.
• Participate in code reviews and promote best development practices.
• Provide technical support and resolve Oracle application-related incidents.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.

Qualifications Required for Success in this Role

• University degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Excellent proficiency in:
• Oracle Database
• SQL
• PL/SQL
• Experience with:
• Packages
• Procedures
• Functions
• Triggers
• Cursors
• Collections
• Dynamic SQL
• Solid understanding of relational data modeling.
• Experience in SQL performance optimization.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience with Git or another version control tool.
• CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, as well as professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on the particulars of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $60,000 and $115,000. This position is open.
