Responsibilities

  • Automate the lifecycle of Active Directory infrastructure

Design, develop, and maintain automations related to the lifecycle of domain controllers (provisioning, promotion, demotion) and associated resources.

Adapt existing automations to the evolution of the Landing Zone architecture (AWS multi-account environment).

Identify and implement new automation opportunities for the Active Directory team.

Collaborate with solution architects and Infrastructure and Security teams to ensure compliance with Landing Zone standards.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules for uniform deployment of solutions across AWS accounts.

Use Ansible for server and domain controller configuration and administration.

Manage infrastructure state with Terraform Cloud (workspaces).

Produce clear, maintainable, and well-documented infrastructure code.

CI/CD and GitHub Actions

Design and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines for testing, validation, and deployment of solutions.

Configure environment protections, approval processes, and branch policies.

Integrate validation steps (Terraform Plan/Apply), linting, security analyses, and automated tests.

Develop reusable pipeline templates compliant with the organization's Golden Pipeline standards.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Testing, validation, and monitoring

Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure the quality of Active Directory infrastructure automations.

Set up dashboards and alerts to monitor the health of automations.

Perform end-to-end testing in a pre-production environment before any production deployment.

Document edge cases, failure scenarios, and implement resilience mechanisms (e.g., self-healing).

Documentation and knowledge transfer

Maintain comprehensive technical documentation (architecture diagrams, operation guides, troubleshooting procedures).

Ensure knowledge transfer to operational teams to foster their autonomy.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Desired profile

Requirements

Degree in computer science, software engineering, cloud computing, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps or cloud development.

Solid experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).

Experience with Ansible for configuration management.

Experience with GitHub Actions, including workflows, reusable workflows, and secret management.

Strong knowledge of Active Directory (domain controllers, organizational units, GPO, DNS).

Experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, and IAM.

Knowledge of AWS Landing Zone architectures and multi-account environments.

Ability to transform architectures and technical specifications into production-ready solutions.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with technical and business stakeholders.

High autonomy, organizational skills, and team spirit.

Fluent French (oral and written) and functional English.

AWS Cloud Practitioner certification (minimum) or equivalent higher-level AWS certification.

Experience in development with Python and PowerShell.

Good understanding of GitOps principles.

Assets

Experience with HashiCorp Vault for secret management.

Experience with Terraform Cloud (workspaces, remote state management, and access control).

The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, and professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on the particularities of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between 60,000$-115,000$. This position is open.
