  • Control accounting entries and perform year-end closing procedures.
  • Establish and document administrative and accounting processes.

  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of financial information.
  • Financial Preparation and Analysis
  • Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements in collaboration with senior management.
  • Establish budgetary forecasts with the management team.
  • Analyze financial statements and various ratios, and formulate recommendations.
  • Complete a portion of the grant accounting reports.
  • Manage and update the budget.
  • Tax and Compliance Management
  • Produce tax returns and fiscal reports according to regulations and laws.
  • Ensure that government remittances are up-to-date and compliant.
  • Supervision and Day-to-Day Management
  • Manage payroll and ensure complete tracking.
  • Process billing and financial transactions.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Participate in the preparation of audit files with external accountants.
  • Establish and regularly verify internal control points (KPIs).
  • Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
  • Collaborate with various departments and service providers.
  • Use and optimize various financial management software.
  • Stay current with laws, methods, and work tools.
  • Participate in continuous training to maintain skills.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by management.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Accounting degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as an accounting technician.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in pivot tables (asset).
  • English (asset).
