Senior Software Designer

Under the supervision of the Software Group Manager and within the Research and Development team, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and evolving the next generation of EXFO's network and Ethernet/IP testing platform.

This is a unique opportunity to join a highly collaborative product team, driven by a DevOps culture, to contribute to the creation of a strategic product using modern technologies, cloud-native practices, and Agile development methods.

As a senior software developer, you will not only contribute to the development of high-quality software solutions but also participate in architectural decisions, guide team members in their development, promote technical excellence, and contribute to the strategic evolution of the product.

You will work closely with product management, quality assurance, DevOps, user experience (UX), and other development teams to transform customer needs into robust, scalable, and sustainable solutions.

This position is offered in a hybrid work model.

Your Main Responsibilities

As a senior member of an Agile Scrum team, you will be called upon to:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8 to 15 years of software development experience.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering complex software products within multidisciplinary teams.
• Bilingualism (French and English, both spoken and written).
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.

English proficiency is required for this position, as its responsibilities involve frequent oral and written exchanges with clients, partners, suppliers, or colleagues located outside Quebec.
