Job Description Technical Project Manager
Role Summary
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead complex technical initiatives and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders; ensuring projects are executed efficiently while maintaining high standards in quality, communication, and operational excellence.
This person possesses strong project management skills, a solid technical background, and the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams in a rapidly evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate technical projects from inception to completion.
- Manage project plans, schedules, risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, clients, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate the integration, training, and adoption of technical processes and tools.
- Provide guidance and support to technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, process guides, and operational best practices.
- Monitor project performance and identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Track key project milestones, communicate progress updates, and escalate issues as needed.
- Support organizational change management, including communication, training, and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and sales teams to align project objectives and priorities.
- Contribute to sales development activities by providing technical insights on projects and participating in client discussions as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, project management, or a related technical field.
- More than 5 years of experience in technical project or program management.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with data handling, report preparation, or technical systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in French and strong English is required.
English proficiency is required for this position to ensure effective communication with teams outside Quebec and to contribute to our international business activities.
Desired Qualifications (Assets)
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, technology, or operations-focused environments.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, databases, or cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and project management best practices.
- Relevant certifications in project management or quality assurance.
