About Peripheriq
Peripheriq is a Quebec-based company specializing in IT support for SMEs.
We manage complete environments and maintain long-term relationships with our clients. Our role goes beyond technical support: we advise them, secure their operations, and help them evolve their infrastructures.
We are a human-sized company where expertise is recognized and where decisions can be made quickly. Senior members of our team have a real influence on the company's methods, standards, and technological orientations.
We want to work with competent, responsible, and accessible people. At Peripheriq, technical expertise is important, but the ability to collaborate, share knowledge, and inspire confidence is just as important.
The Position
We are looking for a systems and networks administrator or senior IT specialist capable of handling complex situations with autonomy.
This person will primarily work on technical escalations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, projects, and client environment standardization.
This is not a role limited to closing tickets. We are looking for someone who wants to understand the environments as a whole, propose solutions, and actively participate in improving our organization.
The position is particularly suitable for someone who already works in an IT services firm, an MSP, an integrator, or an organization with multiple sites.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Handle complex incidents requiring advanced expertise.
- Diagnose and resolve issues affecting servers, networks, access, cloud services, and security.
- Design, plan, and implement infrastructure projects.
- Participate in server, service, and IT environment migrations.
- Administer Windows environments, identity services, and enterprise policies.
- Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, networks, secure connections, and multisite environments.
- Supervise backup, restoration, and business continuity strategies.
- Analyze and address security alerts, particularly in SentinelOne.
- Participate in cybersecurity incident interventions.
- Handle the technical integration of new clients.
- Assess existing environments and recommend improvements.
- Standardize configurations according to Peripheriq's practices.
- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation.
- Collaborate with suppliers and specialized partners.
- Mentor and advise Level 1 and 2 technicians.
- Participate in improving internal processes, tools, and automations.
- Advise management on technical choices and identified risks.
The Desired Profile
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in systems, networks, or infrastructure administration.
- Strong autonomy in managing Windows environments.
- Excellent understanding of identity services, access rights, and security policies.
- Experience with cloud environments and Microsoft enterprise services.
- Solid understanding of networks, firewalls, secure connections, and complex problem diagnosis.
- Experience in virtualization, backup, replication, and restoration.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, segmentation, hardening, and access management.
- Experience with SentinelOne or a similar advanced protection solution.
- Ability to analyze an environment as a whole and establish an action plan.
- Ability to manage an intervention from initial diagnosis to complete resolution.
- Ability to clearly explain technical issues to clients and colleagues.
- Exceptional rigor in documentation and follow-ups.
- Perfect French both orally and in writing.
- Functional English for technical documentation and exchanges with suppliers.
- Valid driver's license.
What Will Set You Apart
- Experience in an MSP, IT services firm, or multiclient environment.
- Experience in fully supporting new clients.
- Experience in infrastructure and cloud service migrations.
- Experience in security incident response.
- Experience with multisite environments.
- Skills in automation or scripting.
- Microsoft, network, security, or infrastructure certifications.
- Experience in mentoring or supporting technicians.
- Ability to improve processes without unnecessarily burdening operations.
- Our Company Culture
- We are looking for a senior person who wants to have a real impact.
At Peripheriq, experienced team members are not only called when a situation deteriorates. They participate in preventing problems, improving standards, and advancing the entire team.
Our culture is based on a few simple principles:
- Problems are better solved when people collaborate.
- Expertise should be shared and not kept to oneself.
- A good technician does not just fix a symptom: they find the cause.
- Communication quality is as important as technical quality.
- We prefer simple, solid, and well-documented solutions.
- We give autonomy to people who demonstrate good judgment.
- We accept professional disagreements when they lead to a better decision.
- We want to protect the team from avoidable emergencies through better processes.
- We respect our clients and expect the same respect internally.
We want to build a high-level team without creating a cold, rigid, or impersonal environment.
What We Offer
- 100% paid collective insurance, including dental insurance.
- Competitive salary based on experience and ability to handle advanced responsibilities.
- Paid training and certifications.
- Professional development budget.
- Participation in technical decisions.
- Opportunity to influence standards, processes, and company orientations.
- Provided IT equipment.
- Cell phone allowance.
- On-site parking.
- Casual dress code.
- Team activities and company events.
- Paid vacation.
- Mileage reimbursement for business travel.
- Accessible management that understands the realities of IT services.
- A client base primarily composed of SMEs with whom we maintain long-term relationships.
- A collaborative technical team where mutual aid is truly valued.
- What a Typical Day Might Include
A day might start with analyzing a complex access problem at a client, continue with planning a migration, and end with an internal meeting to improve a deployment procedure.
You might also mentor a technician in an escalation, validate a backup strategy, analyze a security alert, or participate in the integration of a new client.
The work is varied but must remain structured. We are not looking for someone who loves constantly working in a hurry. We are looking for someone who can reduce emergencies by implementing better solutions.

- Initial short discussion.
- Technical interview focused on concrete situations.
- Validation of professional references.
- Basic security and background checks, if needed.
Discussions with candidates currently employed will be handled confidentially.
