Director or Director of Advisory Services

In this context, CGI is seeking a leader in the banking, investment, and financial services sectors, capable of building strong business relationships with key players in these sectors. You have proven experience in managing RFPs, delivering complex projects, and selling strategic advisory services, ideally gained within a major consulting firm or a specialized financial services firm.

The title associated with this position is Director or Director of Advisory Services (DSC). You will be responsible for the growth and delivery of advisory services to our banking, investment, and financial services clients. Your key mandate will be to increase sales and revenue by developing strategic relationships and identifying high-value opportunities.

Functions and Responsibilities

As a DSC, you will be responsible for sales, revenue, service delivery, and account results. You will position CGI as a strategic partner with decision-makers to win large-scale IT and business project mandates upstream.

Your responsibilities include:

• Taking charge of RFPs for projects related to the banking, investment, and financial services sectors.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with executives of investment firms, financial institutions, and banks.
• Identifying and realizing opportunities in areas such as:
• Investment and financial services: modernization of trading platforms, risk management, regulatory compliance, front-to-back digital transformation, AI and advanced analytics for asset management.
• Banking services: modernization of banking systems, process automation, payment solutions, cybersecurity, and compliance.
• Ensuring the quality of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Managing the delivery of complex strategic projects in collaboration with internal teams and partners.
• Achieving revenue and profitability goals.
• Recruiting and developing specialized talent in banking, investment, and financial services.

Qualities Required to Succeed in This Role

• Credibility as a specialist in IT and business consulting service sales in the banking, investment, and financial services sectors.
• Good understanding of financial products (stocks, bonds, funds, derivatives, structured instruments) and front-to-back processes, as well as banking operations.
• Ability to drive service offerings, financial proposals, and contracts for multi-faceted projects.
• Knowledge of key trends: digitalization of markets, automation, regulation, ESG, AI applied to finance and banking.
• Bilingualism (French and English) required to interact with national and international clients.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and proposal writing skills.
• Experience in an advisory services and team management environment.
• Work Mode: On-site

CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, as well as professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on the particulars of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $105,000 and $200,000. This position is open.
