IT Infrastructure Automation Specialist

We are looking for a passionate IT Infrastructure Automation Specialist dedicated to the continuous improvement of technological environments. You will contribute to the design, implementation, and evolution of solutions to automate operations, simplify deployments, and ensure the reliability of platforms.

In this role, you will work on improving infrastructure practices by developing robust, scalable, and secure automation solutions. You will also participate in modernizing operational processes by promoting DevOps and Infrastructure as Code approaches.

You will collaborate with various technical teams, including operations, architecture, security, and cloud teams, to deliver high-performance solutions that meet the organization's needs.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Develop and maintain IT operations automation tools.

Design and implement automated scripts and processes to improve the efficiency of virtual environments.

Deploy and manage infrastructures using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).

Participate in the design, optimization, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.

Automate deployment, configuration, and management activities of environments.

Identify, analyze, and resolve issues related to automation solutions.

Participate in deployment, upgrade, and change management activities.

Ensure the quality, performance, and security of developed solutions, including vulnerability remediation.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and DevOps practices.

Produce and maintain clear technical documentation of developed solutions.

Collaborate with various IT teams to ensure the seamless integration of solutions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

You have a strong interest in automation, modern infrastructures, and DevOps practices. You enjoy solving complex problems, optimizing processes, and working in a collaborative environment.

Required qualifications

Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of relevant experience in IT automation, development, or infrastructure.

Excellent proficiency in PowerShell.

Experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).

Experience in Python development.

Experience with CI/CD tools, such as GitLab or equivalent.

Good understanding of DevOps practices, automation, and continuous deployment.

Knowledge of routing and switching technologies (CCNA or CCNP level or equivalent experience).

Knowledge of firewall technologies, including Fortinet and Cisco.

Ability to document solutions and share best practices.

Intermediate English proficiency (as needed for the environment).

Assets

Experience in managing virtual environments.

Experience with cloud infrastructures.

Knowledge of security practices and vulnerability management.

Experience in automating large-scale infrastructures.

CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, as well as professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on the particularities of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $60,000 and $110,000. This is a future opportunity.
