- Tasks
- Operate or control machines or equipment to weld, bolt, screw, or rivet metal pieces together
- Select and transport materials manually or using a crane or winch on the job site
- Perform general handling tasks
- Operate or maintain automatic or multi-function machines to manufacture metal parts and products
- Adjust and mount components using manual or electric tools
- Clean, polish, or file products to finish them
- Inspect product quality and perform other checks
- Install and adjust pieces
- Clean the work area
- Ensure compliance with safety rules
- Read plans, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
