We are currently seeking a versatile Software Development Team Lead to join Maya HTT's Customization Services group. This team develops custom software tools and applications for Maya HTT's clients in the engineering domain. Projects cover a wide range of areas such as geometric modeling, Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM), and numerical simulations, and are implemented using technologies such as C#, Python, and C++, among others.

What to expect as your main responsibilities

  • Use Agile development principles (Scrum, Kanban) to develop, maintain, and integrate custom engineering software tools and products.
  • Understand client workflows, needs, and requirements to recommend the best solutions and practices.
  • Design, develop, and deploy new features.
  • Ensure the maintenance of existing products and respond to customer support requests.
  • Develop and maintain unit tests.
  • Propose and implement fixes or workarounds to resolve issues.
  • Document all work completed.
  • Mentor and guide more junior team members.
  • Be responsible for the success of projects.

You will succeed in this role if you possess

  • A degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in software development.
  • Excellent skills in analysis and programming (C#.NET, Python, C++).
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAE/CAM platforms and engineering processes (an asset).
  • Experience with version control systems and project management tools (Git, Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.) (an asset).
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Strong autonomy and initiative.
  • Experience in supervising a small team or a desire to evolve into a team management role.
  • Excellent English communication skills (the position requires regular interaction with colleagues, suppliers, and clients based outside Quebec, nationally, and internationally).
  • If you have experience in the following areas, we would like to meet you:
  • Experience with CAD/CAE APIs, such as NX Open
  • Experience with Teamcenter as well as server-side and client-side customization
  • EDA automation and knowledge of Cadence, Xpedition, and/or Altium APIs
  • Knowledge of electronic design and printed circuit board (PCB) design flows
