Our client, Construction Génix, a specialized contractor in the realization of complex and large-scale projects, is looking for a Junior Project Manager to join its team for a major project at the Pierre-Laporte Bridge, representing an investment of $125 million over 4 years.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, be directly exposed to the realities of a large-scale construction site, and develop your expertise on a unique project.

The position is permanent: at the end of this project, your career will continue within Construction Génix on new challenges.

Your Role

In collaboration with the Senior Project Manager and the Project Director, you will actively participate in the planning, coordination, and follow-up of the various stages of the project.

Primarily on-site, you will be at the heart of the operations and gradually develop your autonomy in the management of complex projects.

Your Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning and follow-up of the work;
• Ensure the follow-up of the schedules and contribute to cost control;
• Collaborate with the construction teams, suppliers, and subcontractors;
• Participate in the follow-up of contracts and the various stages of implementation;
• Perform the necessary follow-ups with the various stakeholders of the project;
• Contribute to the coordination of the work and the resolution of the issues encountered;
• Participate in the follow-up of the project's progress;
• Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and the Project Director;
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and contribute to the overall success of the project.
• The Desired Profile

We are primarily looking for a person who wishes to learn, take on responsibilities, and evolve long-term within the company.

You could be the person we are looking for if you possess:

• A DEC or bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction, or a related field;
• First relevant experience in coordination or project management in construction;
• Experience or exposure to bridge, artworks, or large infrastructure projects;
• Experience in high-rise work, scaffolding, shoring, formwork, excavation, embankment, or infrastructure also constitutes an asset;
• Good organizational skills and a sense of priorities;
• Autonomy, resourcefulness, and a real desire to learn;
• A good team spirit and a positive attitude;
• Good French language skills.

Your experience may have been gained as a junior project manager, project assistant, project assistant, or project coordinator. The important thing is to have acquired relevant first-hand experience and to want to evolve towards greater responsibilities.
