Superintendent

We are looking for an experienced Superintendent to oversee and coordinate all activities on construction projects, primarily in the public sector. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, a good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, and proven ability to manage teams and ensure quality and safety on-site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, plan, and coordinate daily work on the job site.
• Ensure compliance with schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Read, interpret, and apply plans, estimates, and technical documents.
• Monitor the progress of mechanical and electrical work and intervene in case of technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards (CNESST) and public sector contractual requirements.
• Participate in site meetings and produce necessary reports.
• Identify potential risks and propose effective solutions.
• Maintain clear communication with the project manager and stakeholders.

Desired Profile

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Superintendent.
• Significant experience in public projects (municipal, provincial, institutional).
• Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical work.
• DEP, DEC, or equivalent construction training.
