Opportunity - Senior Construction Project Manager
Our client, a recognized organization in the Quebec building construction sector, is seeking a senior construction project manager to oversee the management of large-scale construction projects, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure the delivery of compliant, high-performance work according to the highest quality standards.
Your main responsibilities
- Lead the entire project lifecycle, from strategic planning to final delivery, ensuring efficient and structured execution.
- Coordinate internal teams, external professionals, subcontractors, and suppliers, maintaining clear communication and constant alignment among stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, and contractual requirements, while anticipating risks and proposing concrete solutions.
- Supervise on-site activities, including regular site visits, progress tracking, management of unforeseen events, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Manage administrative and technical aspects: permits, inspections, documentation, reports, progress updates, change orders, estimates, and financial tracking.
- Ensure client satisfaction by maintaining professional, proactive, and results-oriented communication.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and the optimization of resources, bringing your expertise and strategic vision.
Desired profile
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management (residential, commercial, industrial, or institutional).
- Education in construction, civil engineering, architecture, project management, building technology, or related field.
- Membership in a professional order (engineer, architect, etc.) — a significant asset depending on the education.
- Excellent proficiency in project and site management tools (MS Project, Procore, or equivalents).
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and make informed decisions.
- Strong skills in communication, coordination, problem-solving, and priority management.
- In-depth knowledge of Quebec market standards, codes, regulations, and practices.
