Financial Analyst

Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the Financial Analyst will work closely with colleagues from the finance department and other departments by gathering, interpreting, and reconciling various financial data that will lead to informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements;
• Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts;
• Perform bank reconciliation;
• Participate in various ad-hoc financial analyses;
• Participate in the budgeting process and monitor it for each department of the company;
• Periodic analysis of profit margins by client/project;
• Implement a cost of goods sold/production cost system for each product category manufactured and periodically update it;
• Ensure the accuracy of the inventory accounting;
• Track, maintain, and reconcile volume discounts from suppliers to be received;
• Participate in the preparation of the year-end dossier;
• Propose improvements to the internal control process to ensure the quality and reliability of administrative and financial information;
• Improve and automate integrated or to-be-integrated financial tools in the ERP.
• Required Qualifications:
• Completed studies in accounting;
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar position;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent knowledge of Excel;
• Experience with Power Bi (an asset);
• Knowledge of Business Central (an asset).
