Under the supervision of the President, the Accounting Controller is responsible for, among other things, the complete accounting cycle for our clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-of-month and end-of-year process.
  • Prepare financial statements and other accounting reports such as the income statement, balance sheet, and financial situation evolution.
  • Produce consolidated financial statements if necessary.
  • Analyze discrepancies between actual results and the budget if applicable.
  • Actively participate in the budgeting process if applicable.
  • Process payroll and accounting entries for balance sheet accounts.
  • Verify operational transactions and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Conduct various financial analyses and present different reports.
  • Coordinate verification by the external accounting firm and government audits.
  • Manage cash flow.
  • Manage fixed assets and depreciation.
  • Manage billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Manage inventory.
  • Manage real estate.
  • File TPS-TVQ, Relevé 1, Relevé 31, T4A, T5, etc.
  • Provide occasional support to your immediate supervisor and the client base.
  • Support the accounting team and provide training.
  • Participate in the development of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Perform other tasks related to accounting.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, with CPA title
  • 5 years of experience in an accounting department (accounting firm experience is an asset),
