We are looking for an Accounting Technician who will play a key role in our financial team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will contribute to the accuracy of financial information, process improvement, and the smooth running of the company's accounting activities.
Your main responsibilities: *General Accounting*
- Supervise the recording of accounts payable, receivable, and payroll;
- Perform bank reconciliations;
- Produce monthly journal entries to the general ledger;
- Ensure the tracking of fixed assets;
- Analyze prepaid expenses and various accounts receivable;
- Account for end-of-month accruals;
- Participate in replacing team members during vacation periods.
- *Payroll*
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the payroll process;
- Reconcile payroll and produce various reports;
- Perform accounting entries related to payroll.
- *Taxation*
- Prepare and ensure compliance of TPS and TVQ tax returns.
- *Treasury*
- Perform daily management of treasury, payments, and financial flows.
- *Year-end*
- Participate in preparing files for external auditors;
- Participate in preparing year-end documents related to payroll.
- *Collaboration and Continuous Improvement*
- Support the Financial Controller in various files;
- Participate in various process improvement projects;
- Collaborate closely with the different departments of the company;
- Perform any other related tasks.
The profile we are looking for
- DEC or BACC in accounting or equivalent training;
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
- Excellent mastery of the complete accounting cycle;
- Excellent knowledge of payroll and government obligations;
- Experience in preparing TPS/TVQ remittances;
- Very good mastery of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel;
- Knowledge of an accounting software or ERP.
