JOB TITLE: Accounting Technician

Full-time, permanent IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Finance Controller

SUMMARY OF THE MAIN FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

• Payable Side:
• Complete payables / vendor cycle from purchase order to invoicing
• Support for logistics and purchases
• Issue payments
• Bank reconciliation
• Management of discounts, gift cards and their applications
• Verify bank statements and make calls to vendors
• Provide assistance to the controller for financial reports, tax reports, end of month, accounting entries and expense account analysis
• Sorting
• Other related administrative tasks
• Receivable Side (to be determined):
• Complete receivables / customer cycle
• Customer account analysis
• Credit analysis for new customers
• Processing of customer invoices and payments
• Prepare and send receipts
• Balance receivables end of month
• Perform and verify cash balancing

QUALIFICATIONS

• AEC, DEC or BAC in accounting
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting
• Good computer skills (Excel, Office suite)
• Experience in an integrated management environment (ERP) and/or Omni software (asset)
• Bilingual (French & English an asset)
• Customer service oriented
• Excellent communication
• Attention to detail and thoroughness
• Team spirit

• Daytime hours, Monday to Friday
