In collaboration with the head of the technical data department, the person in this role serves as a reference for the technical data controller team. They ensure the accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance of aircraft, engine, and APU maintenance files in the company's electronic tracking systems, while providing coaching, training, and technical support to the team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance of maintenance files with Transport Canada regulations and company procedures.
• Perform quality checks on technical data related to aircraft, engines, APUs, and components to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Verify the implementation of modifications, inspections, replacements, and recommendations from Service Bulletins, airworthiness directives, and manufacturer requirements.
• Audit the execution of repetitive inspections and the tracking of components with limited or controlled life.
• Prepare, review, and validate documentation demonstrating the traceability of limited-life parts integrated into aircraft or their main assemblies (engines, APUs, landing gear, thrust reversers).
• Provide training, coaching, and problem-solving support to technical data controllers.
• Respond to technical file requests and participate in aircraft audit, sale, or import processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a technical data controller in the aviation industry.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian aviation regulations and standards, as well as aeronautical maintenance compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with aircraft and component manufacturer maintenance control documents.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and comfortable with collaborative digital tools and AI (e.g., Copilot). Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
• Proficiency in both French and English*

*A good command of French is required for positions in Quebec. The person in the role will need to frequently communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, clients, or other stakeholders, both in Quebec and internationally.
