Will you be our future Production Controller?
Your future role
As a Production Controller, you play a central role in managing the materials needed for the manufacture of railway vehicles. You ensure the optimization of MRP, the availability of parts, and the smooth flow of materials by providing direct support to Operations.
You contribute directly to the industrial performance of the site, the fulfillment of customer deadlines, and the reliability of the supply chain.
This position is based at our La Pocatière site and requires you to be present 5 days a week on the day shift (starting at 7 a.m.) and as needed for operational requirements.
Your main responsibilities
Material flow management
- Respond to material needs in collaboration with Methods, Operations, and Project teams.
- Define and set up supply strategies in MRP to ensure the availability of materials.
- Manage material base data to optimize batch sizes, frequencies, and supply rules.
Management of missing parts
- Be responsible for the management of the missing parts process (shortages).
- Coordinate action plans with Operations, Methods, Purchasing, and Project Managers.
- Provide short, medium, and long-term visibility on the risks of stockouts.
Support to production
- Issue Call-Offs, generate picking documents, and track their delivery to the workstation.
- Participate in project kick-off and missing parts management meetings.
- Publish the progress of operations and ensure the consistency of shared information.
Continuous improvement
- Conduct inventory analyses to ensure the accuracy of MRP.
- Identify opportunities for inventory reduction and improvement of the turnover rate.
- Participate in the resolution of non-conformities related to materials.
About you
We value passion, personality as much as experience. However, to thrive and achieve your goals in this role, you possess the following:
- DEC in logistics operations management or relevant field. University degree: an asset.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing supply chain.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Access) – mandatory.
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP – an asset.
- Proficiency in French (oral and written) – English: an asset.
