Under the authority of the director of our Laval office, the incumbent's mandate will be to perform the commissioning of new projects, preventive and corrective maintenance of control and gas detection systems for our clients' buildings.

Controls

• Perform advanced commissioning and system diagnostics from the level controllers to the final devices (probe, sensor, valves, shutters, etc.) and complete all required commissioning documentation;
• Maintain various control systems and different manufacturers;
• Perform preventive maintenance visits;
• Conduct point-by-point verification of various control components connected to the building automation system;
• Calibrate various control components;
• Update control components as required;
• Perform various service calls (corrective maintenance);
• Diagnose, verify, and correct issues related to the malfunction of control systems and/or electromechanical systems;
• Perform the startup of various control components;
• May be called upon to work on control system implementation or expansion projects.
• During a service call and/or during a preventive maintenance visit:
• Always remain vigilant and proactive to provide the best solutions to our clients;
• Always remain vigilant and proactive to make recommendations to our clients. See problems before they are reported;
• Perform adequate technical readings so that the sales team can do adequate work.

Gas Detection

• Perform calibration and calibration of gas detection equipment from various manufacturers;
• Verify the operation sequences related to the gas detection system;
• Ensure the proper functioning of the electromechanical equipment connected to the gas detection system;
• Repair and replace (when required) various gas detection equipment;
• Perform programming and startup of gas detection equipment (detectors, transmitters & central).

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in Canada;
• DEC in building mechanics / DEC in instrumentation & control / DEP in electromechanical and/or any other training or experience deemed equivalent;
• Hold the ASP Construction card (Health and safety general on construction sites);
• 1 year or more in your field;
• Knowledge of the office suite;
• Possess a valid driver's license;
• Be able to receive a security rating (provincial and federal inquiries).
• Serving the French and English-speaking Canada, we must ensure the provision of our services in the appropriate language, guaranteeing fluid communication and adapted to their needs
• French language spoken and written level: Mastered
• English language spoken and written level: Beginner
• Frequency of English use: Occasional.
