Scope of the Role

Reporting directly to the finance director, the incumbent actively participates in the complete accounting cycle of the group's various companies and assists the accounting team of 6 people in various tasks covering:

  • general accounting
  • intercompany operations
  • financial reporting
  • regulatory and compliance obligations

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, monthly, and year-end journal entries, including regularization, depreciation, and accrual entries.
  • Analyze general ledger accounts.
  • Keep investment files up to date, participate in improvements as needed, perform related entries, and reconcile with the general ledger and bank statements.
  • Participate in the production of financial statements.
  • Participate in the preparation of year-end files.
  • Participate in the finalization of audit files.
  • Collaborate actively in the preparation of budgets.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of department processes and technological tools.
  • Assist as needed in accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Participate in certain administrative tasks.

Desired Profile

  • Education: DEC in accounting or AEC.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar complete cycle role.
  • Software: Advanced mastery of Excel, SAGE accounting system preferred.
  • Languages: Mastery of spoken and written French, functional English.
  • Key Skills: Rigor, autonomy, strong analytical capacity, respect for deadlines, and discretion.
