- PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The accounting technician is responsible for all daily accounting and administrative operations of the company, ensuring the accuracy of data and the efficient management of financial resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain computerized ledgers;
- Enter data into the accounting system;
- Record and control vendor accounts and payments;
- Perform bank reconciliation;
- Process payroll;
- Prepare and submit end-of-year statements (T4, Relevé 1, summaries);
- Prepare and submit government remittances and reports;
- Calculate and submit withholding taxes;
- Prepare TPS and TVQ reports;
- Prepare the balance sheet, income statements, and balance sheet;
- Prepare and consolidate monthly and annual financial statements;
- Track project costs, budgets, deposits, and disbursements;
- Manage cash flow;
- Produce summary and detailed account statements for clients and vendors;
- Process and manage project billing;
- Manage contracts, terminations, and denials;
- Manage permits required for project completion;
- Request CSST and CCQ compliance letters;
- Participate in audit preparation;
- Answer phone calls and filter them;
- Perform other administrative tasks in support of executives.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- The personality of the job! Results-oriented, customer service mindset, good judgment, ability to manage multiple sometimes conflicting priorities, ability to work in a team;
- We are looking for a person with a level of responsibility and autonomy that is in harmony with our human-sized team;
- 3 to 5 years of experience, ideally in the construction field;
- DEC in accounting or other relevant training;
- Excellent mastery of Sage 50;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and G Suite;
- Demonstrates meticulousness and diligence;
- Respects confidentiality, integrity, and professional ethics norms;
- Ability to adapt easily to changes.
