The Maintenance Supervisor for Packaging, reporting to the Director of Maintenance, will be responsible for the general maintenance of the inspection, packaging, and palletizing area of a 24/7 production plant.
- Supervise, mobilize, and support a team of mechanics and electricians; ensure their development, training, adherence to rules, and disciplinary follow-up
- Ensure the performance and reliability of equipment by executing the preventive and corrective maintenance schedule, in collaboration with the maintenance planner
- Escalate technical issues to accelerate their resolution and participate in the resolution of technical stoppages and recurring issues
- Ensure the achievement of the department's efficiency and financial objectives
- Provide technical expertise in maintenance, performance, and equipment improvement
- Ensure the implementation and compliance with GMF (Good Manufacturing Fundamentals) determined by O-I
- Contribute to daily operational meetings with representatives from different departments
- Participate in the identification and implementation of plant maintenance projects, mobilizing the team
- Ensure compliance with SST standards and personnel training (PPE, locking, working at height, confined spaces, environmental standards, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with quality rules (documentation, procedures, HACCP, etc.)
- Participate in the recruitment of team members.
Qualifications
- Minimum DEC in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent discipline
- 5 years of experience in supervising teams in a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication, motivational leadership skills, and ability to engage teams
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance management information systems
- Experience in the packaging industry is a considerable asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite tools
