We are looking for an experienced, meticulous, and results-oriented Accounting Manager who will act as a true business partner. This person will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, financial information production activities, the integrity of accounting and stock evaluation, and the development and performance of the accounting team.

This role is essential to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information, strengthen internal controls, and provide management with relevant financial data to support decision-making. The position holder will collaborate closely with finance, operations teams, and other stakeholders to optimize financial processes and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring their accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards (NCECF).
  • Supervise and validate bank reconciliations, general ledger, petty cash, and inventory reconciliations, ensuring the analysis, resolution, and documentation of discrepancies. Provide support in complex cases.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide financial analyses and explanations of discrepancies to management and operational teams.
  • Lead, train, and develop the accounting team, ensuring performance standards are met and tasks are prioritized.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Coordinate audit activities and serve as the primary financial contact for external auditors. Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements.

To join our team

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA designation is an asset).
  • More than 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, including supervisory or team management responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/NCECF standards, financial reporting standards, and internal control frameworks.
  • Proven experience in managing closing cycles and producing monthly reports.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector (asset)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Maximo, Dayforce, or equivalent system)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, a keen sense of responsibility, and financial integrity.
