The Packaging and Cultivation Associate position, under the direction of the Master Grower, is responsible for all processes in the growth of cannabis plants and the production of dried cannabis flower. You will assist in planning, organizing, and conducting activities in our grow rooms according to our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Daily, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum efficiency and optimal plant health.

The Packaging and Cultivation Associate will report directly to the Master Grower or designate and will have no direct subordinates. In the event of absence, another member of the Grow Team will cover.

- Reports to the Master Grower and will have no direct subordinates.
- Responsible for following SOP documents to execute processes and procedures with precision.
- Requires exceptional attention to detail and, ideally, computer literacy.
- Assists with all stages of plant growth and dried flower production.
- Helps with other tasks such as sanitation.

Cultivation Technician | Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.

- Ability to do multiple things at once, combined with strong mechanical aptitude.

- Experience in cannabis cultivation is preferred.
- Experience in Health Canada-approved cultivation facilities is preferred.
Cultivation Technician | Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure strict adherence to all Health Canada and ARC rules and regulations.
- Follow the company's standard operating procedures, protocols, and policies regarding compliance, safety, and functionality of work areas.
- Respect and defend all health and safety policies, practices, and programs in place.
- Foster a positive teamwork and work motivation atmosphere.
- Work towards achieving the company's goals regarding efficiency, yields, quality, and costs.
- Maintain a smooth workflow.
- Follow the production schedule precisely and communicate any issues that may require a change in schedule or possible downtime.
- Monitor plants precisely to ensure optimal health.
- Work towards having plant growth on time and precise.
- Monitor and be able to report daily processes and production, including the number of plants transformed, cut weights, totals of waste produced, including the state of drying and curing of cannabis.
- Follow the company's standard operating procedures and protocols to help in the overall Grow, Prune, Harvest, Dry, Trim, Dry, and Package by a uniform, sanitary, and compliant cannabis plant care, including installation, dismantling, feeding, and sanitation.
- Harvest cannabis plants in accordance with the company's procedures or protocols and production schedule.
- Trim cannabis plants by hand according to the company's quality standards using scissors, shears, or other equipment designated for the company.
- Transfer cannabis to and from drying/curing areas as needed.
- Help with destruction as needed.
- Be comfortable with documenting all tasks and work processes.
- Ensure that daily activities are accurately recorded in all journal documentation.
- Assist with the execution, completion, and maintenance of journals as needed.
- Use digital scales to record weights and take precise weight measurements.
- Weigh, package, and/or label products by following the company's standard procedures precisely.
- Ensure that all products are properly labeled.
- Adopt good housekeeping habits throughout the facility, with focus and personal contributions for a clean and organized workspace (maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment).
- Help clean grow areas after the end of the harvest cycle.
- Ensure that all machines and surrounding areas are cleaned and properly disinfected, and that tools are stored according to standard operating procedures at the end of daily tasks.
- Help with the sanitary disinfection, organization, and storage of all products, equipment, tools, and incoming materials according to company standards, as required.

- Working Conditions
This role requires wearing a company-provided uniform and additional personal protective equipment at all times.
- Manual dexterity is required.
- Must be able to work with all forms of cannabis (live and dry).
- Light physical effort.
