The mission of the General Administration of Patrimonies Department is to provide protection and administration of patrimonies under the Public Guardian's responsibility following the powers and obligations outlined by law for public protection regimes and other urgent protection measures of assets. In collaboration with territorial departments, it ensures that the management of patrimonies is carried out in the best interest of the protected person. It provides expertise in taxation, insurance, and asset management, including movable and immovable assets.

More specifically, the Housing, Recurring Revenue, and Pharmacy Bill Processing Department is responsible for recovering all revenues, allowances, and benefits to which the represented individuals are entitled. It also ensures the processing of pharmacy bills and manages the housing aspect for individuals represented by the Public Guardian residing in health and social services centers or other types of resources.

Main Functions

  • Advise relevant organizations (Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Solidarity, Retraite Québec, Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec, etc.) to receive recurring revenues to which protected individuals are entitled;
  • Provide appropriate expertise for the management of housing expenses for these individuals as well as their minor expenses;
  • Ensure the processing of basic and special benefits under the Social Solidarity Program.

Your Role

Under the authority of the Director of Housing, Recurring Revenue, and Pharmacy Bill Processing, the person holding this position is responsible for managing the housing and allowance aspects for personal expenses of individuals represented by the Public Guardian who are housed in health and social services establishments or private residences.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for:

  • Validating that housing is established in compliance with laws and regulations governing tariffs and re-evaluating the housing rate in files where required;
  • Analyzing bank statements and the financial situation prevailing in the various files of the individuals represented under your responsibility;
  • Monitoring to determine the amounts that can be allocated for the payment of current housing and the repayment of housing debts;
  • Making changes of address in the operational system at the request of the appointed curator as well as modifications to housing and personal expense allowance payments;
  • Recovering the surplus from the beneficiary's cash box and the overpayment of housing when required;
  • Ensuring the follow-up of all communications (email, telephone, correspondence, fax or others).

Salary Scale according to Collective Agreement 47 119 $ to 66 112 $ based on experience.

  • Hold a technical college diploma in administration or any other relevant technical college diploma or a relevant certificate of studies whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority.
