Salary: Between $68,000 and $74,000 per year

Work Location: 100% on-site at the Mont Gabriel hotel.

Responsibilities

Under the responsibility of the controller, your role will consist of coordinating, supporting, and performing various accounting activities.

Main Tasks

• Coordinate and support the work of the accounting team (3 people)
• Participate in the processing of accounts payable
• Invoice groups and track receivables
• Verify, control, and approve payroll
• Participate in the preparation of bank reconciliations
• Perform end-of-month and end-of-year accounting entries
• Analyze accounts and prepare financial reports
• Analyze discrepancies between actual results and budgets
• Validate and prepare justifications for the presentation of financial statements
• Actively engage in any other ad-hoc or recurring financial matters

Requirements, Skills, and Abilities

• DEC or bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience
• 5 years of significant experience directly related to the position
• Experience in the hospitality and restaurant industry, an asset
• Demonstrated skills in information technology
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 (particularly Excel), point-of-sale systems, and common accounting software
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• High critical and analytical thinking
• Autonomy, resourcefulness, and sense of responsibility
• Great versatility and varied interests
• Ability to work under pressure and on multiple projects simultaneously, problem-solving, and meeting deadlines
• Strong organizational skills, diligence, and attention to detail
• Leadership and team spirit
