Investment Analyst

YOUR CHALLENGE
Under the direction of the Director of Investment, Financing, and Asset Management, the primary role of the Investment Analyst is to provide support to the investment department team and in the analysis of the company's real estate portfolio. The incumbent will develop financial models, presentations, and any other analytical and financial documents necessary for the smooth functioning of the department. The incumbent will also keep the performance tracking files of the assets held by the company up to date.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, update, and/or validate financial models for investments, including financial projections, profitability calculations, and financial ratios;
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations to present potential investment projects internally or to third parties;
- Continuously update the performance tracking files of assets;
- Market information research;
- Coordinate the collection of information and figures from other departments and ensure their accuracy;
- Sensitivity analysis of projects;
- Create new analysis reports to meet the company's needs;
- Prepare performance reports of assets held by the company;
- Review documents and reports to ensure the accuracy of data and information;
- Attend investment and partnership meetings;
- Prepare financial models and any other documents necessary for project financing;
- Perform any other related tasks.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Technical expertise in financial modeling and analysis;
- Advanced proficiency in the Excel suite;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Sense of urgency, priorities, and organization;
- Demonstrate initiative, creativity, autonomy, and accountability;
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and be comfortable in a constantly evolving environment;
- Be a motivated and energetic team player;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English.
EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, real estate, or a related field;
- 1 to 2 years of experience, preferably in a related field;
- Knowledge of the real estate domain (asset).
Assets
- Professional certification such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or equivalent.
- Experience in the real estate, construction, or institutional investment sector.
