At DML, we are growing and looking for an Accounting Technician who wants to play a key role in our day-to-day accounting operations. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate records, proper transaction processing, and reliable financial information.

This position is offered as a 15-month contract with the possibility of permanent employment.

YOUR ROLE

• Perform daily accounting activities (transaction entries, debit/credit entries, account reconciliations).
• Prepare journal entries and month-end closing entries.
• Complete bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports (aging reports, AP, AR, etc.).
• Ensure accounting data accuracy and contribute to reliable financial information.
• Organize and maintain accounting documentation.
• Support year-end procedures and accounting file rollovers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial and administrative issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.
• Perform other related duties.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Accounting education (DEP, DEC, or equivalent).
• Relevant experience as an Accounting Technician or Senior Accounting Technician.
• Experience with accounting software / ERP systems.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Ability to communicate in French and English, both written and verbal.
• Manufacturing or growing environment experience (asset).
