The mission you are being offered:

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Commercial Financial Analyst supports financial activities related to sales and acts as a business partner to the sales team. He/she is responsible for preparing and updating customer cost sheets and sales sheets to ensure the accuracy of prices and margins. The incumbent participates in the continuous improvement of financial processes and provides analyses to support strategic decision-making.

A snapshot of your daily tasks:

  • Participate in the budgeting process and financial forecasting
  • Contribute to month-end closing by preparing and recording journal entries
  • Create and update sales tracking and pricing tools
  • Manage the price review and renewal process with customers
  • Participate in margin reporting and financial analysis
  • Improve pricing-related processes and optimize internal practices
  • Contribute to management reports and analyses for the executive team
  • Calculate purchase price variances (PPV) for key accounts and analyze cost variations (material, conversion, and labor)
  • Perform monthly weighted average cost (WAC) tests to ensure product cost accuracy
  • Manage the quarterly repricing process for relevant customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial and operational information
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures (SST, BPF, etc.)
  • Perform any other tasks as needed to support operational requirements

You are the ideal candidate if you possess

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting, with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience;
  • or
  • College diploma in accounting or a related field, with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Ideally, experience gained in a manufacturing environment;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools, particularly Excel (advanced level);
  • Knowledge of AS400 system (an asset);
  • Bilingualism required (French and English)

Bilingualism is required to communicate with certain clients and stakeholders and to analyze predominantly English financial documentation.
