Position Overview
Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering (KIE) is seeking a Senior Transport Infrastructure Engineer in the field of urban infrastructure and transportation.
Senior Transport Infrastructure Engineers contribute to the design and optimization of the Quebec City Tramway project's infrastructure in close collaboration with other disciplines and construction teams. Roles may cover various phases, from preliminary design to construction phase support.
The Quebec City Tramway project, implemented under the progressive design-build approach, represents a major initiative in transportation infrastructure, at the heart of Quebec City. To guide the realization of this project, Kiewit is seeking qualified professionals willing to apply their expertise to the civil engineering works of this large-scale project. Selected individuals will have the opportunity to play a central role in the development and implementation of this unique project in Canada, contributing to the development and construction of essential urban mobility infrastructure in a particularly motivating environment.

Location
The position is located at our offices in Quebec City or Laval, with full-time hours allowing a balance between professional commitment and personal life. The position may be eligible for remote work depending on the candidate's experience and autonomy.
Responsibilities
- Plan workload and lead the activities of the engineering and technical team assigned to projects.
- Design and develop various Transport Infrastructure projects.
- Mentor and support team members in their professional development, fostering knowledge transfer and best practices.
- Actively contribute to the production of technical deliverables, including study reports, estimates, plans, and construction phase tracking.
- Organize and lead coordination meetings, both internally and with clients, ensuring clear and structured communication.
- Actively participate in design-build strategies and technical reviews.
- Serve as a technical reference for the team and intervene in the resolution of complex issues.
- Establish performance indicators to track deliverable progress and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Anticipate technical and organizational risks and propose appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Foster a collaborative climate and mobilize the team around project objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering in a relevant discipline.
- More than 10 years of experience in the preparation of transport infrastructure plans.
- Solid knowledge of North American standards and highway geometry.
- Membership in the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ), membership in another Canadian professional order is an asset.
- Experience in design or design-build project management is preferred.
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French, with the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization and support project efforts.
- Dynamic leader capable of collaborating with different teams.
- The position is based in Quebec and may require occasional travel to sites and attendance at meetings across North America, depending on project needs.
- Proficiency in French (spoken and written). Functional knowledge of English (written and verbal) is considered an asset since mobility and collaboration between Canadian provinces are required. Courses can be offered as needed.
- Experience with AI agents and tools is considered an asset.
