The mission you are being offered:
Reporting to the Financial Director, the Senior Accounting Analyst ensures the integrity and accuracy of financial information by performing the necessary analyses for decision-making. They oversee the proper evaluation of inventories and production costs, contribute to end-of-month processes, and produce periodic financial reports. The incumbent also supports financial forecasting and audit activities, while participating in the continuous improvement of accounting processes.
A snapshot of your daily tasks:
- Perform account reconciliation for the balance sheet to ensure their accuracy
- Optimize accounting processes and strengthen internal management controls
- Support the sales group in operational management and inventory tracking, including maintaining and validating data in customer systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial and operational information
- Maintain up-to-date tracking of capital expenditures (CAPEX) by project to ensure adequate financial visibility
- Account for vendor discounts in accordance with current contractual agreements
- Participate in the preparation and execution of the annual financial statement audit
- Perform end-of-month reconciliations related to inventory reserves, credits, and billing
- Contribute to the implementation and optimization of financial systems
- Participate in the closing of accounting periods
- Comply with the company's policies and procedures (SST, BPF, dress code, etc.)
- Perform any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor as needed for operational requirements
You are the ideal candidate if you possess
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting, with a minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience;
- or
- College diploma in accounting or a related field, with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience;
- Ideally, experience gained in a manufacturing environment;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools, particularly Excel (advanced level);
- Knowledge of the AS400 system (an asset)
- Bilingualism required (French and English)
Bilingualism is required to communicate with certain clients and stakeholders and to analyze predominantly English financial documentation.
