Role and Responsibilities

As a key member of the technical sales team, the Technical Product Manager for Power Products will be the reference for all aspects related to power products (capacitor banks, chargers, inverters, etc.). They will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects related to the production of orders, providing after-sales technical support for the various power products offered by Gentec, and assisting in the preparation of proposals.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Support the Proposals team, analyze customer quotes, prepare responses to customer requirements, and create necessary technical documents.
  • Provide technical support to the purchasing and production teams.
  • Oversee all technical aspects of orders throughout the production process for power products.
  • Prepare, validate, and approve design and manufacturing documents (space planning drawings, wiring diagrams, material lists, etc.).
  • Develop and validate the Bill of Materials (BOM) for custom products, ensuring compliance with customer technical specifications, and manage technical aspects throughout the production process. Support production and intervene in the analysis and resolution of technical issues.
  • Assist customers with commissioning, perform tests, and maintenance of power products when necessary.
  • Provide technical support to customers, including installation, operation, and troubleshooting of power products.
  • Prepare and conduct technical training for customers as well as presentations at conferences, seminars, or technical meetings on power products (chargers, capacitors, protection systems, etc.).

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven knowledge in power electricity/electronics.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor, or similar software (asset).
  • 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to acquire new knowledge and skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to take initiative and propose solutions.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to solve problems.
  • Work ethic and attention to detail.
