Your contribution!

Reporting to the Director – Project Financial Control, you will be part of the Project Financial Control team. The Senior Accountant is responsible for developing and implementing accounting processes for project accounting. The Senior Accountant accounts for transactions and presents monthly budget tracking to project managers. Additionally, they are responsible for preparing quarterly presentations to senior management. The Senior Accountant is accountable and ensures the smooth execution of the accounting process for their functions.

Your daily tasks!

  • Develop and implement accounting processes related to project accounting
  • Supervise and participate in all activities of the project accounting module in the integrated management software, from opening to closing accounting periods
  • Make the necessary adjustments to ensure reconciliation with the general ledger
  • Prepare project financial statements
  • Present monthly budget tracking to project managers
  • Prepare quarterly financial presentations for senior management
  • Supervise the work of intermediate accountants and team accountants when required
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for the project information centralization platform
  • Monitor procurement activities and payments to ensure timely processing
  • Coordinate the automation and efficiency improvement of the project accounting module in collaboration with the IT team
  • Prepare project accounting sections for audits
  • Prepare information required for the tax team
  • Establish and maintain rigorous internal controls
  • Develop, improve, and maintain internal processes as well as monthly and quarterly reports
  • Participate in various special assignments as needed

Your skills, our requirements!

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CPA professional designation
  • Experience in accounting within a multi-entity and multi-project organization
  • Experience in managing multiple currencies, an asset

  • Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail, diligence, and accuracy
  • Autonomy, initiative, and quick learning ability

  • Technical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent skills with financial systems and tools
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion, OneStream, and Power BI, an important asset
  • Bilingualism (French and English, both oral and written) required to ensure collaboration with external stakeholders on a recurring basis.
