The successful candidate will participate in coordinating the operations of the housekeeping department and support the housekeepers in fulfilling their daily duties.
What you will do
- Supervise the housekeeping staff: ensure that work is performed according to the prescribed standards and methods;
- In collaboration with the reception team, coordinate the arrivals and departures of guests;
- Coordinate and assign tasks to the employees of the housekeeping department;
- Conduct room inspections and make necessary touch-ups;
- Report any irregularities regarding the condition of the rooms;
- Participate in the training and development of employees;
- Perform, if necessary, functions that fall under the purview of supervised employees.
What you need to succeed
- Have experience in a similar position;
- Be comfortable in a team leadership role;
- Have a sense of organization and attention to detail;
- Be able to use basic administrative software (Word, Excel, Outlook);
- Be comfortable in English, as you will be in contact with English-speaking guests;
- Be familiar with the *Mews* hotel management system (an asset);
- Be available to work weekends and holidays.
