Temporary Purchasing Assistant

The incumbent of the position has the main responsibilities of entering data into information systems, communicating with suppliers and internal collaborators, and tracking samples.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct regular market research on the shoe industry;
• Perform product analyses;
• Support the buyer in the product development process;
• Enter data into information systems and reports, and ensure their compliance;
• Generate purchase orders and make modifications as needed;
• Support the buyer in communicating with suppliers and producing performance reports;
• Communicate with internal departments of planning and allocation, logistics, warehouse, marketing, and accounting;
• Track samples and verify merchandise upon receipt;
• Assist during photoshoots.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail commerce in similar roles;
• Rigor in executing daily tasks;
• High sense of work organization;
• Strong French and English communication skills, both oral and written;
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines;
• Ability to work autonomously;
• Good knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook software;
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop (an asset);
• Bilingual (the incumbent must communicate in English with external suppliers);
• Knowledge of the Momentis information system (an asset).
