Reporting to the Quality Director, the Quality Assurance Coordinator coordinates activities related to quality and supervises the Quality Technicians team (Sollio Agriculture employees) at the ruminant mills by guiding and supporting them in their work.
The Quality Assurance Coordinator acts as a technical resource (standards, certification, and regulation) and collaborates with the production and engineering teams to achieve quality objectives and reduce non-quality costs.
He/She also participates in the budget management of the department and provides occasional replacement for certain quality team members as needed.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mobilize quality technicians under his/her authority to perform their work as effectively as possible while respecting the company's procedures and policies.
- Act as a technical resource for quality assurance (regulation, standards, procedures, quality specifications) for both quality technicians and internal and external clients.
- Ensure that all necessary tools for quality assurance tasks are available and functioning properly at the right time (equipment, materials, quality system, IT tools). Analyze and identify the need for development and revision of these tools to establish uniform quality assurance practices.
- Work with production and engineering teams to meet quality objectives and reduce non-quality costs through coaching and periodic meetings.
- Coordinate quality activities at the mills in the pool in relation to quality specifications tracking (audits).
- Participate in sound budget management by controlling expenses and ensuring appropriate billing of services, if applicable.
- Provide replacement for complaint coordination, ruminant/multi-species quality coordination, and quality technicians under his/her supervision as needed.

- You hold a university degree in agronomy, animal sciences, or food sciences and technologies;
- You have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience;
- You demonstrate leadership and great autonomy;
- You have excellent teamwork skills;
- You show strong influence and good interpersonal skills.
