Millwright (Maintenance Mechanic) - 87181

Health Québec Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal - Universitaire is looking for a full-time day Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) for Sainte-Anne Hospital.

Your mission will be to perform various installation, maintenance, inspection, repair, and adjustment tasks of mechanical machinery and equipment in the facility.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:30.

Daily Role and Responsibilities

• Repair electric beds;
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of food production equipment;
• Perform preventive maintenance of ventilation systems, including the addition and repair of sheet metal parts such as ducts, grilles, and ventilation diffusers;
• Add or repair safety equipment such as grilles or guardrails;
• Perform inspection, adjustment, and calibration tasks on transmission elements or equipment such as pulleys, belts, compressors, electric motors, pumps, and fans;
• Perform some electrical arc welding tasks;
• Read and interpret plans, estimates, manufacturer and maintenance manuals for the maintenance and repair of existing equipment;
• Install, set up, and maintain computer-assisted or programmable logic controller automated systems, according to your field of activity and in collaboration with the instrumentation and control technician.
• As part of our university and academic mission, you may be asked to supervise students or interns;
• Perform any other related tasks.

Qualifications

• Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Industrial Mechanics from a recognized school by the competent ministry or possess equivalent skills.
• Be able to communicate in both French and English, both orally and in writing;
• Have basic computer skills;
• Hold a valid driver's license (asset).
