SOLUTIONS DESIGNER (DESKTOP POSTS)

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Solutions Designer (Desktop Posts) to join our team of advisors at the Montreal office as a permanent position.

This position is hybrid.

As an advisor/consultant for Chrome Technologies, the candidate will work with our clients to complete the projects they have entrusted to us.

TASKS

Our team is looking for a Solutions Designer (Desktop Posts) to support the evolution of our modern desktop management solutions. The selected person will join a team whose mission is to make the user experience as efficient and secure as possible, regardless of the devices used or the work location.

Main responsibilities:

• Analyze, recommend, document, and deploy technological solutions related to desktop platforms, in line with the team's and company's strategic orientation.
• Take ownership and govern the Microsoft Intune MDM platform, including its architecture, standards, configuration, lifecycle, and roadmap.
• Manage the complete lifecycle of devices (Windows, iOS, MacOS, hybrid): deployment, configuration, policy compliance, and secure decommissioning.
• Define and implement compliance policies, security baselines, and endpoint hardening aligned with Zero Trust principles.
• Drive automation and zero-touch provisioning initiatives via Intune and scripts (e.g., PowerShell).
• Collaborate closely with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure teams to translate security requirements into applicable technical controls.
• Stay informed about desktop solutions and share knowledge within the team.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT and 5 years of experience in desktop infrastructure.
• In-depth expertise in Microsoft Intune: architecture design, compliance strategies, configuration, security baselines, conditional access, and lifecycle management for Windows, iOS, and MacOS.
• Expertise in a Virtual Desktop environment (preferably Windows 365 and AVD).
• Have operationalized "Endpoint" solutions (alerting, process automation).
• Have managed a "Modern Desktop" Windows 11 and mobile environment, with SCCM, Intune, and Office 365.
• Knowledge of Autopilot.
• Application deployment on desktops and mobile devices.
• Experience with application packaging.
• Management of application and OS updates.
• Management of drivers and firmware.
• Management of security settings.
• Desired skills and experience: Intune, PowerShell, Azure Authentication, O365, AVD, Windows 365, Defender, ATP, Azure, Microsoft Stores, Apple Store, Hello for Business.
• Management and troubleshooting of MacOS and IOS.
• Knowledge of JAMF (an asset).
