ROLE OVERVIEW

The media planner plays a crucial role in guiding our clients' advertising efforts by contributing to the development of well-informed media strategies that meet client objectives to achieve their marketing goals.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and updating media plans and corresponding budgets. You will continuously monitor campaign performance and assist specialist teams in analyzing campaign data and parameters to formulate recommendations for optimization.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the development and execution of media plans
  • Use various research tools to conduct market studies, audience analyses, and media consumption studies
  • Collaborate with specialized teams (digital and traditional teams, paid search and social media teams) to plan and execute campaigns.
  • Analyze campaign performance indicators to evaluate effectiveness and formulate data-driven recommendations for optimization
  • Assist in preparing detailed reports and presentations presenting campaign results, insights, and recommendations for clients
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends through specialized reviews, workshops/seminars, and follow industry news
  • Supervise all administrative and accounting tasks related to media, including tracking partner invoice reconciliation, verifying monthly media spending reports (BCR), and responding to client billing inquiries

YOUR PROFILE

  • Mastery of digital tools: use of digital and social media, passion for emerging media, Google Analytics, Google Images, ability to research topics, etc.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • University or college degree in the field of media, marketing, business, or a related field; OR equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years as a media planning and/or media buying assistant
  • Demonstrated understanding of the basics and concepts of media
  • Practical knowledge of syndicated tools (Lens, Telmar, Mediaocean/DDS, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to communicate concisely and clearly, both orally and in writing, in French and English.
