About the Position

The BBQs Piscines Spas Boutique is looking for an experienced, organized, meticulous, and autonomous Chief Accountant / Controller to manage the accounting operations of our Vaudreuil branch.

This is a position offering a great deal of autonomy where you will be responsible for the entire accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury management, monthly closing, and various administrative responsibilities.

We are looking for an experienced person capable of managing accounting operations with minimal supervision, while collaborating closely with the management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable, including processing, verification, approval, and tracking of payments to vendors.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, tracking of collections, and collection of overdue accounts.
  • Ensure the tracking of treasury, prepare liquidity forecasts, and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Perform the monthly closing, prepare end-of-month entries, and produce monthly financial statements.
  • Process and administer payroll for employees.
  • Provide support for routine administrative operations, including administrative tracking of public submissions (SEAO and other government platforms).
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Prepare the required documentation for accounting audits and collaborate with external professionals as needed.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Desired Profile

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, accounting control, or senior bookkeeping, ideally in a small business environment.
  • Education in accounting, administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent mastery of the complete accounting cycle (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury management, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing).
  • Experience in preparing monthly financial statements.
  • Bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written.
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Knowledge of the Acomba software is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical skills, sense of organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Professionalism, discretion, and meticulousness.
