In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and supporting Eaton's electrical products, assemblies, and services to our customers. This is a professional sales role focused on achieving sales targets, supporting channel efforts, and exceeding customer expectations. The emphasis is on increasing the volume of profitable orders across all product lines while expanding Eaton's presence in the industry. This position coordinates and implements global business strategies. The Technical Applications Engineer/Specialist manages all aspects of the business relationship, providing commercial and technical assistance to customers, consultants, and the channel.

Sales – Develop sales plans and growth strategies to achieve annual performance goals. Prepare and present sales and value propositions to meet customer needs and expectations. Understand and be responsive to market conditions and competitive activities. Promote Eaton products and services to optimize sales volume, product diversity, and profitability. Assist in the layout, design, control, and monitoring systems using Eaton's assembly and component products to provide customer solutions. Provide technical assistance to customers and the channel.

Collaboration – Achieve team orders and sales goals. Maintain cooperative and credible working relationships with internal staff to consistently exceed customer expectations. Prepare business presentations to create product/service/solution understanding and awareness.

Customer Relations – Interface with key electrical consultants and principal electrical engineers, as well as installation engineers. Conduct product training to expand customer, consultant, and channel knowledge. Develop bid strategies and proposals for customers using pricing and delivery guidelines, applying informed business decisions to increase sales volume and margins. Identify customer needs and prepare value propositions to meet customer expectations.

Perform all job functions in accordance with Eaton's philosophy and values, as well as safety and environmental standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) or equivalent or Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years of technical experience in the electrical industry
  • Solid knowledge of electrical products, associated services, and competitive offerings
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Extensive experience with medium and low voltage assemblies
  • Valid driver's license with no restrictions
  • Proficiency in English and French (ability to work in both languages). Proficiency in French and English is essential for this position to communicate with colleagues, clients, and partners located in Quebec or outside the province, as well as to understand technical documents in our industry.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Active P. Eng. title with PEO or OIQ
  • Sales experience
  • Solid knowledge of Eaton electrical products and associated services
  • Extensive experience in medium and low voltage assemblies
