We are recruiting a Bilingual Proposal Specialist to join our team at the Montreal office. The successful candidate must have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience, ideally including 2 years at a large professional services organization. The main responsibilities include managing the preparation of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Expressions of Interest (EOIs), and presentation materials (in French and English), providing strategic guidance to ensure that proposals are client-focused and highlight the firm's expertise, coordinating in-person presentations and client report requests, and managing and improving proposal content and processes.   • Support for Proposals and Arguments

Act as the proposal lead to provide strategic guidance for the preparation of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in French and English, Requests for Information, Expressions of Interest, presentation materials, and related documents. This includes, without limitation, opportunities from Quebec clients, and involves understanding the unique aspects of the Quebec market and collaborating with Quebec lawyers to develop proposals that meet client needs and highlight our added value. Responsibilities: + Work directly with lawyers and Client and Markets team members to draft responses to RFPs, Requests for Information, Expressions of Interest, presentation materials, and related documents, + Provide strategic advice and vision, apply best practices in proposal development, and influence and negotiate with stakeholders to ensure that proposals and presentation materials are tailored, client-focused, and articulate our added value and strengths, + Organize and lead kick-off meetings to determine key themes and the proposal and pricing strategy we wish to highlight, + Create first drafts using internal content and tools, + Supervise and finalize proposals for the client (including printing or submission via procurement sites), + Ensure that RFPs, proposals, and presentations are added to the firm's business development databases.

  • Monitor procurement sites to identify new business opportunities. Work with lawyers to decide whether to respond to the opportunity.
  • Provide support for in-person presentations to current and potential clients, including drafting agendas, presentation notes, presentations, presentation materials, and related information documents.
  • Lead and coordinate the preparation of responses to client report requests, including coordinating with various firm stakeholders, such as Finance, the Inclusion Office, HR, IT, and more.
  • Assist lawyers in responding to firm accreditation requests due to tight deadlines.
  • Follow up with lawyers on proposals and add results to the firm's database.
  • Provide support in the production of proposal statistics, such as volume, success rate, proposals by industry, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Research and Information team to gather and distill information on clients, prospects, and the industry to assist lawyers in the proposal process.
  • Develop industry and practice-specific proposal templates to improve efficiency.
  • Content Improvement and Management

Undertake the writing, reviewing, and standardization of proposal content in English and French, including differentiating factors, value propositions, and content related to practice areas, industries, and international markets, legal project management, client solutions, added-value services, pricing, etc.

  • Update the firm's proposal tool with approved content.
  • Provide support and advice throughout the French translation process, work with our internal translation team, and review, revise, and ensure the quality control of French proposal content.
  • Operational and Project Leadership

Ensure that processes and projects are effectively carried out within our proposal team.

  • Lead and support projects related to continuous improvement and optimization of our tools, content, and processes.
  • Develop and/or update training tools and resources for the proposal team.
  • Other Responsibilities

Provide training on the proposal process and upskilling for new hires.

  • Provide feedback and advice on client communications in French.
  • Provide support and feedback, as needed, on other essential writing tasks related to marketing and business development.
  • The ideal candidate will stand out with the following profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience, ideally including two years at a large professional services organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, tact, and discretion.
  • Full bilingualism (French and English) in oral and written communication.
  • Excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and establish priorities with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to complete designated tasks systematically and logically, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work in a demanding and dynamic environment.
