The opportunity
You'll be a key engineer on a team that owns a platform used across Unity — your work will directly impact how hundreds of engineers build, deploy, and operate their services.
Your work will be incredibly impactful to the success, speed, and best practices with which developers at Unity get their code into production.
The team is a global team whose internal tooling is the foundation that Unity developers rely on to get their work done, code pushed securely and swiftly. We work together through understanding great things cannot be achieved alone, but through communication and an in-it-together attitude.
What you'll be doing
- You'll tackle complex multi-tenant infrastructure challenges — tenant isolation, policy enforcement, cost allocation, SOX compliance, and scaling shared Kubernetes clusters for growing adoption.
- You'll contribute to the direction of cloud infrastructure standardization at Unity.
- You'll work with world-class engineering and Site Reliability Engineering teams to improve service applications, infrastructure, and deployment practices.
- You'll get a chance to develop your own skills while seeing things you work with move forward and make a real difference.
What we're looking for
- You are an experienced engineer with solid expertise in Kubernetes, cloud-native architecture, and infrastructure-as-code — you've built and operated production infrastructure, ideally including multi-tenant or shared platforms.
- You have strong experience with GCP and exposure to other cloud providers (AWS, Azure); you understand the trade-offs of common cloud services and can make sound architectural decisions within your area.
- You have a track record of delivering platform capabilities — contributing to areas like secrets management, policy enforcement, deployment pipelines, cost attribution, or security hardening.
- You influence through good technical work and clear communication — you write proposals, contribute to technical discussions, and help build alignment with engineering peers.
- You have experience partnering with development teams to help them improve service resiliency by sharing best practices and applying reliability engineering principles using the tooling and processes available.
- You prefer automation over manual work and have a bias toward building repeatable, observable, and well-documented systems.
- You are comfortable working across time zones on a global team.

- Base Salary Range
- We determine the base salary range for this role based on your primary work location:
- Zone A: $83,300 – $124,900 CAD gross
- Zone B: $89,800 – $134,800 CAD gross
This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate’s relevant experience, professional background, and skill set.
