Metal Recycling Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Metal Recycling Supervisor capable of directing operations, motivating a team of 6 people, and maximizing sales opportunities. You will be responsible for supervising metal recycling operations, managing suppliers, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring the proper functioning of site machinery and equipment.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team, ensuring a positive and safe work environment.
• Plan and supervise daily operations: receiving, sorting, and storing ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Manage sales and customer relationships, relying on inventory and production analysis.
• Supervise maintenance, preventative measures for machinery, equipment, and parts, quickly resolving breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Plan shipments and coordinate the transportation of recycled materials to ensure timely deliveries.
• Conduct inventories and produce production and sales reports to present regularly to management.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a supervisor in an industrial environment, ideally in metal recycling.
• DEP, DEC, or BAC in industrial management, operations, or engineering (5 years of experience can compensate for the lack of a degree).
• Strong knowledge of recycling processes and the classification of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Experience in sales, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
• Leadership, organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities.
• Fluent in French and English.
