Production Worker – Wash Department

The Production Worker – Wash Department is responsible for sorting, handling, and processing soiled and clean linens while complying with quality, safety, and infection prevention standards. The employee contributes to the efficient operation of the production process by ensuring a continuous supply of linens to the washing equipment and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, handle, and sort soiled linens according to their category, level of soiling, and established procedures.
• Inspect linens and remove foreign objects (personal belongings, instruments, waste, sharp objects, etc.) before washing.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures when handling soiled linens.
• Load conveyors, washing machines, and other production equipment according to established operating procedures.
• Sort clean linens after the washing process, as required, to ensure they are directed to the next stage of production.
• Inspect linens and report damaged, stained, or non-conforming items.
• Meet quality standards, productivity targets, and production deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all health and safety policies and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform cleaning tasks for the work area and equipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Ability to write
• Ability to lift 20 lbs
• Manual dexterity and ability to push rolling carts weighing up to 400 lbs
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work with goals and as part of a team
• Punctual and reliable
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Good physical condition
