The role

As Team Lead, Quality Assurance, reporting to the Director, Product Engineering, you carry the quality assurance practice within the engineering department by acting as the safety net for edge cases and exceptions. You lead the QA team, help implement essential processes and tools, and monitor quality trends to support our platform's resilience.

What you will do

  • Act as the quality conscience of the department by identifying edge cases, exception scenarios, and helping anticipate them before they become incidents.
  • Partner closely with engineering squads to strengthen a shared culture of quality where every developer feels accountable for what they ship.
  • Design, document, and evolve quality assurance processes tailored to each squad's reality, including testing strategies and acceptance criteria.
  • Evaluate, propose, and implement tools that support quality, such as automated testing frameworks, bug tracking, and observability tools.
  • Grow the platform's automated test coverage by identifying risk areas and prioritizing high-impact investments.
  • Lead and coordinate targeted exploratory testing on critical or high-risk features.
  • Define and track the department's quality metrics, including defect rates, production escape rates, and deployment stability over time.
  • Regularly communicate the state of quality and key trends to the Director, Product Engineering and other leaders.
  • Mentor and grow the QA team members while building the practice to welcome new talent over time.
  • Partner with the Director, Delivery to seamlessly embed quality practices into squad cadence and contribute to incident post-mortems.

Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including hands-on experience in test automation
