Description

Company Description

Prelib is a digital health platform specializing in the prevention and screening of STIs. Through a network of clinics across Quebec, we facilitate access to sexual health services for over 100,000 patient(s) each year. Online appointment booking, prescriptions, self-screening in clinics, and delivery of preventive treatments (such as PrEP): everything is designed to be confidential, convenient, and modern — without embarrassment or time loss. Our technology simplifies care and promotes better health outcomes. We adopt a product-centered approach, with the obsession of creating experiences that people truly want to use.

What Makes the Company Special?

We are a self-financed and profitable startup, growing rapidly, driven by real people. More than 60% of our patients discover us through referrals or word-of-mouth. No shortcuts. Just excellent service, and it shows. We evolve quickly and responsibly.

Role Overview

We are looking for our next Senior Human Resources Generalist: a complete and hands-on role at the heart of the employee experience, touching everything — from payroll to culture, including recruitment, compliance, and employment relations. This is a field role, not a strictly strategic one: you advise managers, but you are also the one who executes. Some weeks, you will lead a policy review; others, you will do payroll, post a job, or welcome a new nurse. Both count equally.

This is the ideal role for an experienced person who enjoys staying close to the operational side, who finds meaning in doing the basics well, and who prefers having a tangible impact on a team rather than managing a large HR structure. You will report to the leadership and be the primary HR contact point for the entire corporate and clinical staff.

Daily Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition and Onboarding

  • Lead the recruitment of corporate and clinical staff (nursing staff): posting, screening, interviews, and hiring coordination. Recruitment is a central and valued part of the role, not a secondary task.
  • Plan and facilitate the onboarding of new hires, and ensure careful and compliant management of departures.
  • Contribute to making each hiring experience a Prelib calling card, in line with our reputation among patients.

Payroll and Benefits

  • Process payroll with rigor and on time (via EmployeurD), and ensure its accuracy from one cycle to the next.
  • Manage enrollments and life changes related to our social programs (collective insurance, pension plan, etc.).
  • Answer employees' questions about their payroll and benefits, clearly and accessibly.
  • Serve as the primary contact point between the insurer and Prelib.

Employment Relations, Compliance, and Advice

  • Advise managers in difficult situations, with judgment and discernment.
  • Support healthy employment relations in a non-unionized environment.
  • Ensure the compliance of our HR and payroll practices with the Labour Standards Act (LSA) and the requirements of the CNESST, and report any deviations before they become risks.
  • Keep up-to-date and evolve our compensation and benefits policies, in collaboration with leadership.

Organizational Development and HR Projects

  • Identify training needs, implement them, and manage the associated projects.
  • Spot opportunities for improving HR processes and lead structuring projects (onboarding, departures, tools, etc.).

Internal Communication and Culture

  • Produce, with the leadership team, the monthly newsletter for employees.
  • Ensure the cultural life and coordination of gathering activities (Christmas party, 5 to 7, etc.).

Administration

  • Ensure the administration, accuracy, and confidentiality of employee files, as well as their compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations or Business Administration (HR profile).
  • 5 to 7 years of experience as a generalist HR covering several areas: non-unionized employment relations, talent acquisition, organizational development, and common HR practices.
  • Practical experience with payroll and familiarity with payroll systems.
  • Good knowledge of the LSA and the obligations of a Quebec employer.
  • Bilingualism in French and English.

Differentiating Factors

  • Member of the Order of CRHA.
  • Experience in recruitment in a technological or fast-growing environment.
  • Experience with payroll using EmployeurD.
  • What Makes the Right Person
  • Beyond the CV, it's the fit that counts. At Prelib, the right person:
  • Enjoys hands-on work. You see as much value in doing a payroll without errors or conducting an interview as in writing a policy. Nothing that touches employees is "under" you.
  • Has rigor and a concern for detail. Payroll, files, and compliance: you are the person the organization can rely on to do it correctly, the first time.
  • Demonstrates judgment. You navigate difficult situations with tact, discretion, and common sense, and you know when to involve leadership.
  • Is close to people. You are accessible, human, and trustworthy, as much for a nurse in a clinic as for a manager.
  • Is autonomous and pragmatic. In a growing SME, you move things forward without expecting a big structure behind you.

What We Offer

  • A collective insurance regime.
  • A pension plan with employer contributions.
  • Access to Dialogue: virtual care and Employee Assistance Program.
  • An accrued sick day bank and vacation days that accumulate from the start of employment.
  • A role with significant impact in a profitable, growing company that concretely improves the health of thousands of Quebecers.
