Animal Caretaker

The SPCA Montérégie is hiring!

We are currently looking for an animal caretaker for the dog sector. Every day, the animals at the shelter rely on an engaged team to care for them. This team could soon be yours.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for dogs
• Feed animals and ensure their health and well-being
• Clean and maintain indoor and outdoor living spaces
• Monitor the health and behavior of dogs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and suitable environment
• Participate in the socialization and enrichment of dogs to prepare them for adoption

Desired Profile

• 18 years or older
• Good physical condition
• Excellent sense of responsibility
• Team spirit
• Positive and professional attitude
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment
• Calm, patient, and sound judgment
• Respect for safety measures and sanitary protocols
• Availability during the day, including weekends
• Experience in an animal shelter or animal care is an asset

Working Conditions

• Full-time position (40 hours per week)
• On-site training provided
• An environment where animal well-being is at the heart of daily life
• Start date: As soon as possible
