Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Friday and

Saturday: 11:00 PM to 11:30 AM + Wednesday and Thursday, 8:00 PM to 4:45 AM YOUR ROLE:

Under the responsibility of the maintenance director, you will contribute to the smooth operation of production machines by performing their maintenance and repairs. You will adhere to health and safety regulations while sharing best practices with your colleagues. Safety is our priority!

Preventive Maintenance

• Perform preventive interventions according to the established plan (checking heating resistors, controlling vacuum pumps, condition of bearings and sensors...).
• Anticipate potential failures by identifying parts to be replaced.
• Update maintenance files and report any anomalies to the production director.

Equipment Maintenance and Cleaning

• Maintain and clean molds after each production.
• Ensure the good condition of molds, heating plates, and cutting and stacking systems.
• Lubricate and adjust mechanical components to prevent premature wear.
• Handle electrical breakdowns and coordinate with Hydro-Québec and our electricity company for follow-up and resolution.

Tool Preparation and Installation

• Assemble and disassemble molds, knives, and stackers according to specifications while minimizing machine downtime.
• Verify the alignment and proper positioning of tools before production starts.
• Ensure a smooth transition between production changes (base changes) while minimizing machine downtime.
• Perform post-setup technical inspections and complete the inspection sheet.
• Collaborate with technical support to improve efficiency and reduce material loss.

Machine Operation Supervision

• Continuously monitor equipment performance and identify potential anomalies.
• Assist operators and technical support in resolving thermoforming issues and provide clear machine usage instructions.

Troubleshooting and Quick Interventions

• Diagnose and quickly resolve technical issues that may affect production.
• Restore equipment to operation as soon as possible after an unexpected breakdown.
• Coordinate with production for more complex interventions.

Operator Assistance and Training

• Train new operators on basic settings and good practices for equipment handling.
• Explain machine operation and specific safety guidelines.
• Serve as a technical reference point for technical support and the entire production team.
• Ensure the good condition of molds, heating plates, and cutting and stacking systems.
• Lubricate and adjust mechanical components to prevent premature wear.

YOUR PROFILE

• Ideally, you hold a DEP or DEC in electromechanics or industrial mechanics;
• You have at least 2 years of relevant experience;
• You have welding skills;
• You have troubleshooting skills;
• You have fine machining skills;
• You have electrical skills (an asset).
